June 29, 2012

Today as I was riding home from work I'm thinking I ride by a lot of crazy people. I ride a motorcycle to and from work every day (when it doesn't pour down rain). When I leave work to go home everyone always tells me to ride safely. I tell them they are taking all the fun out of it, maybe, there is something to it.

Yesterday, I was so happy to be on my bike when traffic came to a complete stop. What I didn't know at the time was, there happened to be a 7-car accident. I am hoping that no one got hurt, badly. As I'm riding down the middle of the road, I rode upon a truck and a SUV refusing to move over, there was room to do so. (Another bike had gone around to the right of the SUV), so I decided to do the same thing after I waited about 5 mins. Well she wasn't very happy and decided to move up at that point (when I looked at her was glaring at me) Poor thing. I also had a guy get out of his truck, not looking where he was walking, almost walked into me as I was riding up the middle. I understand that being stuck in traffic not being able to move and being stuck there for a long time and here comes along a motorcycle and they don't have to stop. Talk about being annoyed.

Now, on to today’s experience: as I’m riding up the middle of the road (again) I come across one of those extra wide loads. There's not enough room for me go through so I stop between the wide load and a truck. Well, I must have stopped to close to the big rig because I got hit when he moved up and one of his red flags got knocked off. One of my mirrors got broken and I received a sore hand (because it was also in the way). All of these things gets me thinking that I need to be more observant when I riding my bike, especially if I'm going to keep commuting on it.

I’m not sure if I’m just like all those other drivers not really paying attention to what it going on around me. I use to think I was not I’m not so sure anymore.

On a happier note, I am whole and still riding my bike (motorcycle).

The final grade my Math class, was a B. Everyone thinks I should just finish all my math classes. If I do end up finishing my math classes, I'm not even sure I want to start taking English classes. It might be a bit to much with all the writing I'll have to do. I sure wish I was lot closer to what I'm working for.

On a good note. I'm a new grand-ma, Ivan was born on May 31st, 2012.
9 lbs and 21 inches long. Welcome little guy
